Welcome to the New Site

Posted by auroracitizen on September 28, 2009

Thanks for joining us on the new platform for Aurora Citizen. Please let us know if you experience any difficulties.

For those renewing your RSS, if it tells you you already have a feed at this address, simply add “2” to the end of the title so you have a second feed. We will be deleting the original feed at some time in the future.

When making comments, you will also need to input a user name by hand versus the default of anonymous — your email address is not required.

Please bookmark the site and tell your friends. Let’s keep the conversation going.

actually, I didn’t – I left it blank to see what would happen – it autofilled it with Anonymous when it posted.

but i’m glad you caught the irony of it!

Anonymous comments are welcome at the Town of Aurora website. At the bottom of the page there is a form and instructions to:

“Send your comments to Mayor Phyllis Morris”

Mayor Morris even takes the time to answer some questions from print media.

Testing to see what happens if you don’t include your email address.

    “I’m still walt though.”

Then why did you type Anonymous in the name box? 🙂

The more I poke around in WordPress the more I like it!

    dunno. i’m still walt though.

I like this layout much better.

  6. Just testing really. What’s to stop someone from masquerading as me if the comments aren’t tied to Google account or some other provider?

I like the look of the new site, and I like that recent comments are listed in the sidebar.
